Independent Medical Bill Advocacy

Client-funded support for individuals and families facing substantial medical bills.

We work for you. Our independent medical bill advocacy service is funded by the client. We are not attached to or acting on behalf of an insurance company, hospital, or doctor’s office.

A large hospital, surgery, or treatment bill can be difficult to understand. We review your medical bills, Explanation of Benefits (EOB), and related documents with you so you can better understand the charges, identify questions or possible discrepancies, and prepare your next steps.

How we help

  • Review EOBs alongside medical bills and itemized charges
  • Explain billing terms and what the documents show
  • Identify questions and potential discrepancies for follow-up
  • Help prepare questions, call scripts, and appeal materials as appropriate

Who this service is for

Individuals and families facing significant, high-cost medical bills—often thousands of dollars—following hospital stays, surgery, or ongoing treatment.

This service focuses on substantial bills rather than small, routine charges. We help you prepare for conversations; we do not call insurers on your behalf.

Education & Training

Two separate, instructor-led virtual programs for different career goals.

Medical coding

Certified Medical Coding Program

Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam preparation

Build skills in interpreting medical documentation and assigning diagnosis and procedure codes. Explore ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, and coding guidelines.

This program prepares learners for the CPC exam. Completing the course does not itself award CPC certification; certification is awarded by AAPC to candidates who meet its requirements and pass the exam.

Billing & revenue cycle

Medical Insurance, Billing & Revenue Cycle Management Program

Understand how a healthcare visit moves from scheduling and insurance verification through billing, claims, payment, and follow-up.

Build practical knowledge of billing terminology, insurance processes, and the administrative steps that support the complete revenue cycle.

This is a separate program from CPC exam preparation. Ask about the current curriculum, tuition, and upcoming class dates.

Ask About Billing & RCM Training

Workplace education & corporate training

Workshops and lunch-and-learns for employers and HR partners on caregiver stress and support, self-advocacy, appointment preparation, and connecting employees with community resources.
